There are different ways to look at and approach the huge challenge we face with climate change and resource scarcity. While it’s clear that the challenge is enormous, complex and not enough is currently being done to address this, part of the issue I think is the perspective we choose to take.
In the context of brands and business I believe several trends are helping reframe sustainability from a challenge to a strategic opportunity. There is a spectrum of activity in the marketplace. Momentum generated by existing and new entrants is encouraging and rewarding new thinking, commitment and creativity, and help organisations on the journey of embedding sustainability into their core business and culture.
